After being named San Diego’s Best Local Band of 2020 in the San Diego Reader’s poll alternative-rock group, Sluka, share a brand-new music video for their take on the American classic of 1926’s “Tonight You Belong To Me,” a popular song that had been written originally in 1926 by Billy Rose and Lee David.
Sluka – led by Christopher Sluka – singer, songwriter, musician, and performer – has released eleven studio albums and has a fanbase that spreads continents. Though born near Seattle, Christopher enjoyed a multinational upbringing as he grew up moving from place to place, with his family never spending more than a few years in one location.
At the beginning of his career, he found himself in the same melting pot of artists as Tear For Fears, INXS, Talk Talk, and Simple Minds. After he recorded a single in Los Angeles (with Cat Gray who had worked extensively with Prince), he found an audience in Japan and went on to release two further albums.
Over the years, his craft has matured, but always remaining enigmatic, with a focus on creative songwriting.
