We’re telling you about this now so you can skip dessert this week and make room for three days of ice cream at the upcoming All-You-Can-Eat Ice Cream Super Scooper!
The event is brought to you by The Joshua Kahan Fund, a program dedicated to fighting childhood leukemia, pushing for more research to find new treatments and ultimately a cure for this terrible disease. It all started in 1997, when two-year-old Joshua was diagnosed with the illness and passed away. Since then, the fund has continued to raise money as a nonprofit to support the work to combat pediatric leukemia. Starting this 4th of July, the Joshua Kahan Fund will hold their 16th annual All-You-Can-Eat Ice Cream Super Scooper, which, as the name suggests, will provide unlimited ice cream for all who attend this three-day event.
There will be ice cream available from dozens of different brands, including Edy’s, Good Humor-Breyers, Turkey Hill, Haagen Dazs, and many, many more. The ice cream will be organized by station, so you can explore the grounds and find just the right ice cream to suit your fancy. This event is the perfect way to spend the first part of Independence Day, before the big concerts and fireworks later in the evening.
Donations are only $7/day at the entrance, and, of course, all of your money will go to an extremely worthy cause that will save the lives of many children. The event will be held at Penn’s Landing, and it will take place on July 4th (noon until 6 PM), July 5th (noon until 5 PM and again from 6 PM until 9 PM) and July 6th (noon until 6 PM). Even if you are only able to make it for one day, you should definitely come down, contribute money for a great cause, and enjoy some cool, delicious ice cream in the summer sun.
