The Satin Hearts
Living On Overdrive

It is a stripped-down, bare-bones version of the other popular indie releases of today. Their rockabilly stylings can venture from standard greaser-rock like on “Pretty Face” and the title track, to sounding like The Rolling Stones got a heart transplant from Facebook on “Cyberstalking Girl“. The Satin Hearts outline soft and friendly chord progressions throughout the album to accent the gypsy-like, blues-laden vocals that come across as vibrato on silk.
It’s probably safe to say that every track would translate superbly into a live scenario (even their instrumental “Last Chance” would fit in). The way the songs are written, they would be extremely fun at a live concert, but as far as the car or house is concerned, they easily fall into the catagory of background music. All in all, it’s been done before, though their hearts are in the right place. They said it best themselves, “You got a pretty face, but I don’t like your nose.”
