If the groups The Band and The Smiths met, had a couple of drinks and one thing led to another the offspring (in a world where Morrissey could find happiness) would be a beautiful little something like The Roddies. With beautifully homespun melodies, their crowd pleasing vocals allow absorption of lyrics deeper than expected. Might be off on the parentage, but the kids are alright.
