State Champs’ new album Overslept shows the potential for growth in the band. They have talented guitarists yet all of the solos sound very similar. Even skipping track after track, there’s not much hope for later songs having a taste of something different. Though they have outstanding vocalists and musical talent, the band needs to add some pizzazz to help them stand out from the sea of other trying artists. However, this isn’t a band to give up on just yet.
