Several months ago I received a Twitter message from @ShakyKnees asking me to check out their Soundcloud page. I get these all the time, and I always do my best to follow up on each and everyone one of them. I don’t really expect much, but I’m always hopeful that I will hear something great! “Make It Last” from SHAKY KNEES was featured. I fell in love with the single’s beautifully executed acoustic guitar, confident vocals, and infections melody, and I needed to hear more! I tweeted back asking when the release date is, and was told June. June passed, July passed. Finally last month I get hit back with a tweet that the album is done and set for release September 2nd. I’ve been back to soundcloud many times to bask in 10 tracks of great acoustic and electric blues-rock-pop songs that are radio ready!
SHAKY KNEES is the solo project of singer-songwriter Bruno Bin and an obvious labor of love, translating his road experiences into heartfelt, meaningful lyrics that are both rocking and swoon worthy. I dare you to try to sit still during rocking tracks like “American Kid”, “Listen Boy”, and “Started Stealing”. Meanwhile, Bin’s vocal delivery on “Make It Last”, “Life Won’t Wait” and “All That You Deserve” are so sweet that the goose bumps you get will give you the shivers.
7 Years is available now for download, and you’ll want the whole album and then some because 10 songs is just not enough! Take what you can get, keep an eye out on www.shakyknees.com, and hang on to the hope that SHAKY KNEES will be performing in your area soon.
