Radio 104.5’s third Summer Block Party of the summer is on July 7th. IAMDYNAMITE and local band Steppin’ Razor will be starting the night off, followed by The Dirty Heads. These bands have new albums coming out and are touring throughout the summer.
IAMDYNAMITE is a rock and rhythm duo that came together in Detroit, Michigan. They began playing shows at colleges and in fall of 2011, they accomplished their first coast to coast U.S tour. They gained lots of popularity with their humorous lyrics and power chord-filled sound. Their debut album, SUPERMEGAFANTASTIC was released on June 5th. After playing at the Piazza in July, IAMDYNAMITE is heading to Germany to play a festival and some shows.
Steppin’ Razor is a reggae band that hails from West Chester. They have gained lots of recognition playing shows in Philadelphia and Atlantic City. In addition to local shows, they have also played some festivals such as Stage College’s Arts Fest and Turkshead Music Festival in their home town. Their album Against the Current was released in March 2012. Steppin’ Razor will be playing Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA this August, and have multiple shows in Atlantic City coming up.
The Dirty Heads are a reggae-rock group who entered into the public eye after releasing “Lay Me Down”, a single off of their debut album, in 2010. They toured with their first album across the US, Canada, and some places in Europe. Their new album, Cabin by the Sea, will be released on June 19th. Following the release of their sophomore album, The Dirty Heads will be touring internationally all summer and into the fall. Make sure you don’t miss their performance on July 7th along with their July 30th show in Munhall, PA.
