The New Jersey-based musician, award-winning, psychedelic rock/dream pop artist, Aura Blaze, resumes his “musical and philosophical evolution” on his new 3-song set EP, Open-Mindedness.
Aura Blaze is the moniker of Rhode Rachel, a New Jersey-based musician, who writes, records, and produces everything. This EP includes 2 original songs, plus one cover track, “The Only One I Know” by The Charlatans.
The EP opens up with the extended play’s title track, “Open-Mindedness.” The track definitely has a hazy 70s vibe similar to Tame Impala. It’s an infectious tune with lush vocals, soaring guitars, fantastic drums, all from Lebanon Township, New Jersey artist, Aura Blaze.
The second song is “Summer Solstice” is a psychedelic track filled with swirling organs, glowing vocals, and some super psychedelic background effects. The track is a super fun, super psychedelic journey of the summer solstice.
The last and final song is a cover of the Charlatans’ “The Only One I Know.” The track opens with epic drums, synths, and breaks into this groovy, upbeat, infectious tune filled with bass, organs, and more.
The Open-Mindedness – EP is a collection of 3 great psychedelic tracks that are filled are soaring sounds and fantastic vocal harmonies. I definitely recommend giving this EP a listen if you’re a fan of artists like Tame Impala, Khruangbin, and more.
