Look a Little Closer

In hearing Levek’s debut album Look A Little Closer for the first time, I was instantly taken to a world where Simon and Garfunkel put out modern indie film soundtracks. With a steady stream of soothing vocals that you are almost positive you have been acquainted with, accompanied by the characteristics of a sometimes jazz influenced backdrop, the album definitely has a classic calming effect. I wouldn’t say this is a ground-breaking, never-been-done-before sound but by marrying a few familiar sounds, Levek is doing what they do right.
