Solo artist/producer, Casey Chandler, is the brains, emotions, and heart of the indie/electronic artist, Galapaghost. He truly represents what it means to be ‘solo’ as he works without a manager, label, or band, and creates all of the music by himself.
Today Galapaghost shares a new music video for his track, “Jellyfish”. Watch below!
A track from his latest album, Sootie, released in August 2018, “Jellyfish” is a song that takes a further step away from electronic music contrasting with his indie/folk focus.
Director Alonso Lujan, a good friend of Chandler’s, filmed the video in Austin, TX, the artist’s current city. Lujan talks a bit about the idea and vision behind the track’s music video.
“Staying true to the inspiration of Casey’s song, that all familiar feeling of watching life pass you by, I wanted to encapsulate this emotion through a series of vignettes where we would explore both the contemplative beauty in the monotony of the drifting through daily life, and the chaotic energy of the dissatisfied mind.”

Chandler, a native of Woodstock, NY, has been very active musically. He’s released five albums (the first two of which were released on the small Italian label, Lady Lovely) and has toured Europe and North America with artist John Grant in August 2010; which included a spot of the show, Later… with Jools Holland.
The third album released under the moniker, Galapaghost, I Never Arrived, was self-released in 2016, and has already garnered over 2 million Spotify streams. He’s received rave reviews from Paste Magazine, Substream Magazine, Alternative Nation, Huffington Post, and Your EDM for both I Never Arrived and his fourth record, Pulse.
