Want to know who ThatMag thinks are the coolest acts in town? Well look no further because tonight, Thursday September 19th at The Hard Rock Cafe in Philadelphia, the best hand selected artists in the scene are being brought to you from people who are actually in the scene!
First up we have Ashley Leone, singer songwriter who has performed beyond her years at many of Philly’s venues like the TLA, World Cafe Live, Milkboy, The Grape Room and has even brought her show to New York’s Bitter End. We spotted her down at the Cape May Music Conference where she not only rocked a local stage but jammed at the after party with all of the acts. We were blown away by this recently signed Live Nation entertainer. Be sure to check her out at The Hard Rock before she heads across the bridge and starts her Susquehanna Bank residency opening up for major acts like One Direction, Demi Lovato, Kelly Clarkson and more!
Next up we have No Risk , rock and roll phenoms that have been hard at work in Soundmine Studios recording with their new record. These guys were found by owner Brian Cronin in the depths of New Jersey where they are tackling the punk rock scene playing at all the notable punk locations, even opening for punk legends The Misfits. Sounding like the combination of Pennywise/NOFX and 90’s pop rock, these guys are something to see!
Headlining this amazing night is Rich Quick, MC at Large in Philly right now. Just off his release of “Sad Songz” his album with the legendary Chuck Treece and Stress the White Boy, Rich takes the stage with Philly in his back pocket. His career is one of the most impressive stories of grinding it out that I have ever heard, and his stage presence is something other rappers need to sit down and take notes from. You can check out his first single off of Sad Songz called Travelin Man here or his second single Say You Love Me here. Needless to say we have known about Rich for a while, now everyone from PhillyWeekly to HipHopdx.com have a story with this guy! He will be performing with a full band including Chuck and Stress with some pop up performances from other Philadelphia Emcees such as Reef the Lost Cauze, ASK? and budding R&B superstar Milton.
The bottom line is that you NEED TO BE THERE. Presale tickets are still available at TicketFly but get them while you can. See you at the show…
