Live At Third Man Records

Recorded during their live performance at Nashville’s famous Third Man Records back in May, Woods’ new vinyl-only release includes five songs from their latest album, City Sun Eater in the River of Light, along with a few gems from three of their other eight albums.
Frontman Jeremy Earl is in his element here, comfortably breezing through the eight songs with his unique falsetto voice never wavering. The result is an easy-going, homey showcase of fan favorite tunes filled with thoughtful, earnest lyrics.
From the politically somber “Politics of Free”, a song whose message of tuning out all the horrible political crap we hear daily on the news and social media has never been more significant than right now to the beautifully somber “Suffering Season”, originally on 2010’s At Echo Lake.
With wide critical praise already under their belt for City Sun Eater in the River of Light, this album makes a great bookend to a well-rounded, prolific collection.
