The Woodmere Art Museum located at 9201 Germantown Ave. in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia has been a cultural gem in a city seeping with American history. The museum takes pride in itself with over 3,000 works of art celebrating Philadelphia artist and their masterpieces.
The Woodmere is a staple in the community leading the way in cultural activities for all to enjoy. The tradition of excellence continues as The Woodmere presents the Classic Sunday musical series starting this Sunday, Nov. 3, and taking place through December 22.
The series opens with a performance by world renowned Di Wu. Wu is a Van Cliburn International Piano Competition winner right off the heels from her debut appearance with the Philadelphia Orchestra. She’ll be performing études by Rachmaninoff and sonatas by Prokofiev.
Tickets are a great price for such a unique experience with adult tickets only $22, $12 for members and children are free. They can be purchased online and even a day before the event, or at the door an hour before the event. Get your tickets soon as they are available on a first come first serve bases and they are going quick!
