Victory Brewing Company’s southeastern Pennsylvanian empire grew that much bigger and stronger earlier this week. Monday marked the grand opening of their second brewpub location, nestled in the mushroom capital of the country, Kennett Square. The latest outpost looks to further continue the brewery’s philosophy of embracing the community they now call home.
The 220 seat, seven-barrell operation is actually the smallest of all the facilities, but despite their size, they will still make their presence known. While keeping up with the principles that are a cornerstone at the company, the Kennet Square location, dubbed “Victory at Magnolia” is not a carbon copy of the Downingtown location. From the beer to the food, even in the decorations and materials used, everything has it’s own unique features.
If you are worried that your favorite Victory mainstays won’t be found here, have no fear! There is plenty of room for everyone’s favorites amongst the 30+ drafts available. Everything from HopDevil to Headwaters Ale, Golden Monkey to Summer Love can be found. There was one exception here (except the Kirsch Gose, which is so popular it is sold out at it’s own brewpub).
The fun does not stop there through! Victory at Magnolia’s smaller size works to it’s advantage when it comes to tasting new recipes and batches. On site, there will always be a rotating selection of beers found exclusively here. If some of these experiments turn out to be a hit, don’t be shocked if you see them pushed out to the masses. Add to all of these the handful of Cask and Nitro specials and there truly is a beer for everyone here.
Food wise, the menu options will also feature their own unique selections. You cannot be in Kennett Square and not offer mushrooms, and Victory at Magnolia doesn’t disappoint! Seated right next to the burgers and pulled pork sandwiches sits a delicious roasted portabella mushroom sandwich. For each and every dish, local ingredients are sourced whenever possible. It’s just another way Victory Brewing Company likes to keep things in the community.
From head to toe, every bit of Victory at Magnolia was impressive. From the tap lists and menu offerings to the 49 foot long, 2500 pound custom built beautiful bar made from over 800 reclaimed mushroom boards from local farmers. But don’t take our word for, check it out yourself! Doors are open 11:00 AM-Midnight Monday through Saturday, and 11:00AM to 10:00 PM Sundays. Be on the look out for outdoor seating later this month as well!
