Sunrunner

Before diving into the pool this week, everyone should dive into Sunrunner, the newest album by Verma. While it sounds cliche, there really is not another way to describe the complete immersion that happens as soon as the first song on the album begins to play.
Each song is a multidimensional and complex piece of superbly polished instrumentation and ethereal vocals. Although clearly influenced by heavy metal, the guitar melodies are clean and crisp, creating definite layers that draw the listener deeper into the heart of the music. Verma’s use of vocals as an accompanying instrument is very well done and rarely seen in modern music. The barely discernible lyrics add a haunting quality to the songs that lingers long after the album ends.
Sunrunner is only seven songs long, but is a worthy addition to any playlist.
