After breaking out with their explosive 2017 debut album, Mis-An-Thrope, up and coming rock band, DED, releases their 2-song mini-EP Mannequin Eyes via Suretone Records.
The new EP features the new explosive single “A Mannequin Idol (Lullaby)” and “Eyes Sewn Shut.”
Their debut stacked up 18 million streams, and gave them two Top 20 rock hits “Anti-Everything” and “Remember The Enemy.” Both tracks gained tremendous playlisting support.
Today’s new songs deliver some thought-provoking lyrics and to help bring hope and awareness to the things that we consume so that we’re the best person we can be.
If you’re a fan of headbanging rock, electric guitars, killer screamo, metal, and some industrial elements, DED is the band for you. The new track “A Mannequin Idol (Lullaby)” takes on the conveyor-belt music machine and the fake, surface-level aspects of our society that have somehow entered our society influencing what’s real in life. “Eyes Sewn Shut” with explosive guitars and a message that challenges that things we accept so readily to be true.
“The new music is about clarity through suffering and the frustration that comes with knowing that everyone can be better than they are – that I can be better than I am because change starts with yourself. We want people to strive and try and be conscious of the things they consume, the way they act, the things they share and celebrate, and the way they live their life – to understand how that all affects their soul and what their legacy is going to be,” shares frontman Joe Cotela.
The forthcoming DED album will be the first release under Suretone Records’ renewed, multiple-year deal with ADA Worldwide for exclusive distribution.
