The summer beer events keep on coming with the grand return of the Philadelphia Zoo Summer Ale Festival. For the 6th year running, the zoo will open its doors to beer aficionados and animal lovers alike, for a unique beer and food experience in an iconic location.
You will have an opportunity to draw from a wide range of beers and ales. Participating breweries include Evil Genius, Lancaster Brewing Company, Victory Brewing Company, River Horse, Straub Brewery, Manayunk Brewery, Boxcar Brewery, and many more, serving up some of the finest drafts available in the city. Once you’ve quenched your thirst, you can also sample delicious treats from the best of the best Philly food trucks. This year will see Vendy Awards participants The Whirly Pig and The Cow and the Curd join the culinary lineup, crafting pork and cheese curd-based delicacies, respectively, for you to sample and savor. Add to those big names the likes of Surf and Turf Truck, Sweetbox Cupcakes, Poi Dog Snack Shop, and more, and you’ve got yourself a food lineup that easily equals the impressive beer list. Throw in live music on location, along with the Philadelphia Zoo’s world class animal exhibits, and this festival has the makings of an unbeatable Saturday evening.
The 6th Annual Philadelphia Zoo Summer Ale Festival will be held at the Philadelphia Zoo, located at 3400 West Girard Avenue. Taking place this Saturday, July 19th, the event will run from 6:30 PM to 10 PM at night. Tickets for the event have already sold out in advance, but if you’ve picked up a ticket, you know what’s in store! Naturally, as with any beer event, this festival is 21+.
