The Kelly Center for Music, Arts, and Community in Havertown in partnership with Haverford Township presents ‘United With Ukraine: a Demonstration of Support For Ukraine,’ a peaceful demonstration illustrated by various genres of music and words from renowned speakers, all in support for the people and country of Ukraine. The event will take place on Thursday, March 10th, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm and it is FREE to attend. Rain or Shine. It will be held in the Paddock Park Pavilion at 214 W. Hillcrest Ave, Havertown, PA 19083.
All are invited to show support for Ukraine during the unprovoked attack from Russia on their country. The event will be streamed LIVE on Facebook and YouTube. The links are available here. It is recommended to bring lawn chairs and signs of messages with Peace.
“It is gut-wrenching to watch these events unfold in Ukraine,” says Tom Kelly, Executive Director of the Kelly Center. “Freedom is under fire in a country whose citizens remind us of our own communities here in the US. We feel helpless. We hope this gathering and show of support may help in some small way. I am grateful to the leadership and Commissioners of Haverford Township for helping us organize this demonstration.”
