The Coal Men, consisting of Dave Coleman, Dave Ray, and Paul Slivka, have recently released their fifth album, Pushed to the Side. This country album was created by ordinary men for an ordinary listener, yet the music is anything but ordinary.
The Coal Men have created a stellar, soulful album. Pushed to the Side is rock-inspired country, consisting of a collection of 12 outstanding tracks. Coleman’s vocals are clear; showcasing his excellent songwriting through his use of powerful lyrics. Coleman’s voice is passionate and are ripe as a fresh peace; so take a bite, let the juice drip down to your elbows, and enjoy this album.
The music and lyrics are simple, yet memorable. Each song tells a different story with unique details that put you inside Coleman’s brain. His songs are so specific that they are relatable to a wide audience. The Coal Men have the talent of a band that will last for a long time, and you should join the ride.
