The Stockholm, Sweden-based vocalist, Annamay, shares two new singles, “Om Hon Hade Vetat,” and “Out of Reach.” Both tracks feature her recently recruited band, which showcases musicians from various genre backgrounds. The band features Jonas Petersson (piano), Henrik Naglitsch (bass), Bo Ahlbertz (Irish bouzouki), Esko Vuonokari (electric guitar), and Jens Stenbro (drums).
Annamay says “Out of Reach” is a song “about lost opportunities that may arise again (if you really want them to..) <3 Living, loving, in solitude, longing for that special person.”
Both tracks were recorded at Awesound Studio. The lyrics and melody were written by Annamay and Hans Lindgren. She also collaborated with Lindgren and Petersson in writing the music.
Annamay isn’t just any other singer/songwriter; she’s also an engineer that is based in Stockholm, Sweden. Her music blends elements of pop-rock, soulful folk, and country, that showcases her poetic lyricism. Her music aims to communicate emotions of truth, freedom, and female empowerment driven by her captivating vocals.
She was born near the mountains in Åre, and began learning music and songwriting by the young age of 10. In addition to music, she developed a professional career as an expert-level engineer in underground infrastructure and urban planning. Her music helps her to find peace and balance in an otherwise hectic world.
