Suburban Reverb

Husband and wife duo Rebecca and Ryan Coseboom are back with their third album, Suburban Reverb. This album from the electronic producing couple uses many intense and eerie sounds at the beginnings of the track to draw the listener in before Rebecca’s beautiful voice takes over and mixes wonderfully with the sounds. The album had a very 80’s vibe to it from the tempo, sounds and lyrics and even Rebecca’s soulful voice.
Almost each track starts off with sounds that can be best classified as jarring, loud and attention grabbing. You will be pulled into the sound and listen as they shift to sometimes quieter and sometimes more uptempo beats before Rebecca sings, captivating you with her breathy vocals and soulful lyrics.
As all the songs have a distinct trend in the beginning, many also shift beautifully, evoking different moods based on the tempo and sounds being created. “Unbreakable” is perhaps the strongest track on the album with wonderful success changing from sound and tempo to the next the couple wished to convey. “Autumn’s Echo” and “Glide Sublime” were wonderful additions as well.
