Singaporean director, singer, and actress, Annette Lee, urges to uplift on new dance-pop anthem, “Song For The Underdog.”
The multi-talented, Annette Lee, is known most for her work with Singapore humor-based platforms, SGAG and Nubbad TV, where she is the prime creative, writing scripts, directs, and acts. Taking a different direction, Lee is focusing more on her music and plans to release an EP in 2020.
The first single from said EP is titled “Song For The Underdog”. The dance-pop gem will encourage listeners worldwide. In a society where social media reigns, it’s easy for anyone to feel impacted by online bullying, negativity, etc, that social media can bring. Annette Lee’s “Song For The Underdog” is an anthem for the average kid who was never cool or smart enough.
When asked about the message behind the song, Annette shared in a press release, “Growing up, we often feel like underdogs – weak, fumbling, and seemingly overwhelmed by the odds. Inspired by many real-life ‘tortoise and hare’ stories, I wrote this song as an encouraging anthem to myself – and for anyone out there who needs to know that there is always hope if we believe.”
Annette Lee‘s EP was produced by Nashville-based producers, Colton Price, and Jerricho Scroggins of Bridgeview Productions. The EP will be paired with a web series titled ‘You Only Debut Once’, with Lee’s music as the story of a “fledging artist trying to start a music career in Singapore.”
