August is drawing near, and that means one of the biggest craft beer bashes of the summer is almost here. Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. is presenting a country-wide craft brew fest, featuring the whole United States craft brew community, and one of the events it taking place right here in Philadelphia, at the Sierra Nevada Beer Camp Across America, Mid-Atlantic Edition.
Sierra Nevada was one of the earliest craft brewing companies in the country, and today they are one of the largest. This festival is a chance to give back to the entire world of craft brewing, and revel in the astronomic growth of the community in the past few decades. They began in 1980 as a small, DIY operation, and today they are a beer powerhouse, one of 2,800 craft breweries nationwide.
Featuring twelve brewers collaborating with Sierra Nevada, including Firestone Walker, Bell’s Brewery, Asheville Brewers Alliance, and PA’s own Victory Brewing Co., this edition of the festival will also feature a number of local breweries, such as Bucks County Brewery, Barley Creek Brewing Company, Boston Beer Company, and more. At the festival, you will get the opportunity to sample two beers from each of the hundreds of breweries featured, enjoyed in a beautiful outdoor environment that will also feature food and live music.
Sierra Nevada Beer Camp Across America, Mid-Atlantic Edition will take place on Saturday, August 2nd, and it will run from Noon until 5 PM. The festival will be held at Penn Treaty Park, at 1341 North Delaware Avenue. Tickets are $65, and can still be purchased for a limited time here. If you are a craft brew fan, this will be heaven for you. Come celebrate and enjoy!
