500 Gigs and A Hard Drive

If you’re not familiar with the musical talents of Scot Sax, you have some serious catching up to do. Sax has been a huge part of the Philly music scene for a few decades now, going back to when WDRE ruled the airwaves and you couldn’t tune in without hearing Wanderlust in all their 90’s glory! Since then, and among other things, Sax has collaborated with such industry giants such as John Rich, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw that led to a Grammy award in 2005 for Best Country Collaboration With Vocals.
Today Sax gives us 500 Gigs and a Hard Drive. Co-produced and engineered by another local artist to keep an eye on, Cliff Hillis, Sax offers what his fans have been asking for, a collection of acoustic hits and faves. The entire album is pure acoustic heaven, with most songs being just guitar and vocal, or piano and vocal so you get the feeling that you’re hanging out with Sax in a small intimate setting with these stripped down songs that take you back almost to the writing process.
With songs that span Sax’s career from “I Walked” to “Like We Never Loved at All” to “Lou Reed”, 500 Gigs and a Hard Drive will have you back-cataloging Sax’s music onto your iPod in no time.
