Chinese and Canadian singer-songwriter Tennyson King recently shared his new single “Garden Of Truth” which also has its own music video to explore! Born in Hong Kong, then raised in Canada, King has a unique perspective that continues to captivate his fans and makes for some incredibly fun and excitingly, inventive music.
Described as a “quirky post-apocalyptic music video for the ages” the animated video for “Garden Of Truth” is the following of these two main characters as they “navigate life post apocalypse through countless encounters of fear and love. At the end of their journey through the apocalypse, everyone joins in the community to live and work together.”
Helping bring this psychedelic and fun song/video to life includes a ton of people. Tennyson co-recorded and wrote “Garden Of Truth” with Montreal guitarist Daniel Rougeau (Kaia Kater), with help from Threshold Recording studio (mixing) and Lacquer Channel Mastering (mastering).
For the music video, animation was done by Factory Brasil and illustrated by Kaio Mushroom, and directed by another Canadian local, Cesart Barbosa. The single was also funded with help from the Canada Council for The Arts, which was created to help their artists during this tough time.
King shares that “we need a break down to the fabric of society for us to rebuild as one community.”
This song is his personal invitation to everyone out there, to join him and his community.
