The up and coming R&B sensation, Paloma Ford, is thrilled and excited to announce the anticipated EP, X Tapes, due out on August 7.
“Being an R&B artist in today’s climate you feel the pressure to switch up your sound to make it fit the market. But X Tapes was all about staying true to myself. I try to keep it as raw as possible. You’re going to feel those familiar R&B influences that inspire me, as well as fresh sounds and tempos that are Paloma Ford,” Ford explains.
The announcement of the release of X Tapes follows the release of the heartfelt R&B ballad, “Nights I Cry,” and the accompanying music video; as well as her track “Rain,” which was the lead track released that is on the tracklisting for X Tapes.
X Tapes follows the release of 2016’s Nearly Civilized EP, which featured standout singles, “W.E.T.,” “Hit of You,” and “Jada.”
Ford was born in Los Angeles – a singer, songwriter, designer, and mother – her sultry, soulful voice captivates her fans and listeners, while her real-life stories of love, life, passion, and heartbreak keep us coming back for more. She notes her many influences but states that Aaliyah, Sade, and Janet Jackson, as the main influencers.
When she’s not singing, Ford describes herself as “A mother and a girl from Los Angeles who has been through a lot of relatable experiences,” she begins. “I’m very optimistic, I try to see the good in others. I love being able to help and heal people. I’m a private person, so I don’t show everything on my social media. In my music, you can recognize moments of sensuality and strength. It’s all part of being a woman. That’s the message. It’s important for me to talk about other situations I’ve been in that other women can relate to.”
