The emerging Norwegian alt-pop sensation, ARY, shares her new visual for her new single, “My Awe Sustains,” from her recently released debut album, For Evig.
“My Awe Sustains” touches upon the moment a child realizes that their parents are only human, and explores the growth that they experience afterward. They’re able to move past any lingering resentment that they have towards their parents, for failure to live up to their parents’ unreachable standards.
“I’ve always loved ‘music video’ as a concept,” shares ARY. “The thought of making visuals to fit the sound is intriguing. Working with Pernille and Herwig to create this magical, dark universe was such a fulfilling experience and I can’t wait to share it with the world.”
On her brand new, self-produced debut album, For Evig (‘forever’ in Norwegian), ARY shares the emotional journey she’s experienced and her path to healing. The album helps her to work through the grief she’s experiencing due to her twin brother’s untimely death.
The record gives ARY an opportunity to express her emotions to possibly help listeners and give them the ability to process their own emotions in their own lives. For Evig displays ARY‘s growth as an artist and explores the “many different faces of loss.” The album captures the reality of the human experience and what it means to love.
