The rising 16-year-old rapper/singer, Payday, shares her new video for the track, “Molang.” This song is featured on her recently released P.U.K.E. Tape Vol. 1 EP.
Payday collaborated with Millimages, the French animation studio that “created the eponymous animated children’s series about the friendship of a friendly rabbit Molang and a little yellow chick Piu Piu.”
The 16-year-old rapper/singer had never stayed in one place for a long time. She moved around from Louisiana, Texas, and Southern California, but still resides in Seattle, where she’s spent most of her formative years.
Payday began her interest in music at age 12. After hearing that the neighborhood kids were making music, she felt she could do it better; bought a mic for $14 at Walmart, and began pirating beats online. She debuted in 2019 with her first single “Super Thicc.”
