September 8th was a bad night weather wise for a show. Lucky for us, Jann Klose and his keyboard player, Lars Potteiger, braved the storm (which included possible tornado warnings). The show must go on. As the German-born, African-raised Klose sang his beautifully written lyrics, blending perfectly with the instruments, every audience members eye remained up front. Every ear was open. All you could hear was the music- the way it should be at a concert. Klose performed a few songs from his older albums, as well as a few new songs which could show up on his not-yet-released album. Songs like “Four Leaf Clover” and “Falling Tears” are worth a listen and will hopefully be heard when his 2013 release is available. Klose finished his set on stage alone. If I were to say one negative thing about Klose’s performance, it would be that his set didn’t last long enough. More! This was his fourth time playing at The Puck. His fans are loyal. We can only hope he’ll be back.
