Get your cameras ready, from the self-proclaim cell phone photographer to the professional; everyone is invited to participate in Philadelphia’s Photo Day by creating an account with PPAC (Philadelphia Photo Arts Center), uploading and submitting a photo Oct 18th to be a part of a great exhibition.
Each and every image will be used in one way or another. Every image submitted will be printed and put together to create a grand exhibition from November 14 through December 28.
PPAC will produce up to 60 public works of art. Philadelphia’s mural arts program, community center artist, and teaching artist will collaborate to design up to 20 of the city’s first digital murals. Then, 40 individual images will be selected and placed on billboards throughout the city during the month of December. One of your photos maybe chosen!
All of this could not have been possible without the generous sponsors, John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and PNC Arts Alive. To check out more sponsors and to see more info about the event, check out PPAC’s event page.
