Philadelphia-based indie-rock band, The Tisburys, are thrilled to share a new song from their forthcoming album, Sun Goes Down. The lead single, “Fading Light,” is out today; a mix of Philly indie-legends, The War of Drugs and The Districts, and artists like Wilco and Springsteen.
Sun Goes Down is the band’s follow-up to their 2019 release, Wax Nostalgic, and sees them drifting away from their previous Americana and folk-influenced sound. But also shows them maintaining their “catchy pop melodies” and songwriting from singer/songwriter, Tyler Asay. Themes on Sun Goes Down include the rising tide dealing with good and bad endings, and both internal and interpersonal conflicts.
On “Fading Light,” the song draws its inspiration from all the interpersonal conflicts everyone shares. The song was engineered by frequent collaborator, Justin Nazario, and it was mastered by Alex Saltz (Vampire Weekend, Deer Tick, Steven Van Sandt).
Sun Goes Down will be out later this year via Tisbury Inc.
