The Macedonian-born, and Philadelphia-based artist, Fl!p, shares his brand new single, “Oh, And I Like You,” filled with R&B grooves and plenty of funk, is out now.
Also known as Filip Todorovski, Fl!p has tried to keep busy throughout quarantine as many artists have. Luckily, his online following has grown immensely through his online Twitch live stream concerts, where he’s been able to combine his two true loves: music and gaming. Users will tune in daily to the interactive show filled with vibey synths and a side of Minecraft. Some viewers will also make requests with their channel points to help off the set.
On his latest song, “Oh, And I Like You,” Fl!p explores genres including pop, rock, jazz, R&B, and dance, which helps him create a funky track that creates a deeper song with many layers and showcase his many influences from disco to house music.
“It started off as a jazz lick on a piano and slowly evolved into something bigger. At the time, I wrapped myself in disco and electronic songs, such as ‘RAM’ by Daft Punk; Chich’s ‘Good Times’; and Tuxedo’s ‘Tuxedo’; and was obsessing over the backbeat.”
Fl!p plans to release more new music this year with new singles arriving every month.
