One of Philadelphia’s standout psych-pop bands, Mock Suns, announce the release of their debut self-titled album on October 23, including a limited pressing of vinyl via Bandcamp.
Today, the artist behind Mock Suns, a.k.a. Greg Puglese, shares the first single from the record, “Enchanted Forest.”
This is the first album from Mock Suns since 2016 and the first for Greg Puglese recorded solo. Prior to this record, Mock Suns recorded their last album, Stay True, as a four-piece in 2016. Stay True was a beautiful track to childhood naivete. It almost feels like the end of an era, as all four original parted ways following the release of Stay True. Following the separation, Puglese spent the last four years in his home studio sourcing session musicians for drums and sometimes saxophone.
Mock Suns a.k.a. Greg Puglese continues the music where the original band left off, perhaps creating some of his best work to-date.
