The Philadelphia Drum Project presents Beats, Brews and Banter with Philadelphia’s own Leonard “Doc” Gibbs, Monday from 7 p.m until 9 p.m, at the R Bar (2222 Walnut St.).
Drummers, educators or anyone who enjoys everything that encompasses the drums will feel right at home as this installment of the workshop. Leonard “Doc” Gibbs, a Philadelphia musician and musical educator who has worked with many renowned musicians and acted as musical director for Emeril Live! will be at tomorrow night’s event. Gibbs, still very involved with music education in the Philadelphia area, can tell fellow drummers about his experiences and offer advice.
There is no cover charge to attend and the information and education obtained through the workshop will be very fun and informative. Attendees get to mingle and converse with other like minded drum enthusiast. Perhaps a new band or project will emerge from these meetings?
