Love animals and beer? Who doesn’t? So many to choose from! Come to Elmwood Park Zoo’s Oktoberfest in Norristown, a rain or shine event, on the 12th from 2 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. for beer tasting, food, live animal encounters, and activities everyone over 21 will enjoy. The kids have to stay at home this time, but that’s a good thing- they’re always at the zoo. Now it’s time for you to enjoy it!
EPZ’s Oktoberfest will have beer to taste from all over the globe including Philadelphia Brewing Company, Appalachian, Boxcar and Prism. Brews will continuously be added as the event comes near. There will also be wine to purchase from Karamoor Estate.
It’s best to get tickets in advance as soon as possible for the available discounts. With the purchase of the general pass, guest will have unlimited beer tasting, a souvenir tasting glass, animals encounters/interactions and food for purchase from Elmwood Park Zoo’s Catering. VIP passes grants early admission at 12:30 p.m., all you can eat food from Outback Steak House, exclusive VIP areas and select beers.
Elmwood Park Zoo doesn’t want anyone left out so designated drivers get reduced price tickets and can choose from alternative beverages at the festival. Not bringing a designated driver? If you know your way around Septa, you can get pretty close to the zoo via the bus. But, don’t worry, you can also park your car overnight at Elmwood Zoo after the event and take one of the car services home. Many taxis will be on call for the event.
