The Oakland-based hard rock band, STIMULI, is thrilled to share their new music video for their new single, “Ripple.” The single is taken off their 2018 record, They Are We. STIMULI is a band that focuses on creating a unique mix of “heavy, thoughtful, riff-soaked music often inspired by the human condition.”
The band explains that the song “Ripple” is about “finding peace and fulfillment in a moment or series thereof as we race through life.”
STIMULI consist of vocalist Jimmy Tomahawk, bassist Tai Hake, and drummer Cole Andrew. The combination of Tomahawk‘s edgy vocals, Hake‘s heavy bass tones, and Andrew‘s solid drumming, STIMULI is a band you don’t want to miss. Not only does the trio masterfully bring the traditional hard rock, but it also is able to successfully incorporate synths eclectic instrumentation not often associated with contemporary hard rock.
Vocalist Tomahawk described tha band in a press release, “Our music contains a strong emotional intensity with personal, social and philosophical messages about the human experience. Although there is an undeniably serious disposition in the band’s message, as individuals, we don’t really take ourselves very seriously at all – satire, slapstick humor and wisecracks are the norm when we are together. It’s a bit of a collective Jekyll & Hyde scenario, really.”
