The New York City-based artist, composer, and producer, Christ Ianuzzi, shuns the mainstream and applauds the independent artist, by releasing bold, decidedly, non-mainstream music for the serious listener.
Ianuzzi‘s work puts one foot in early synthesizer music, IDM, industrial, ambient, glitch, and techno, while the other foot is onto something completely strange, new, and fresh. ReGen Magazine says Ianuzzi‘s music ‘makes the statement that he’s here to revel in a new future.’
Ianuzzi released a series of singles to prepare for the release of his new album, Hunger. On June 4, he shared the tracks, “Setagaya,” and “Infinite Prize,” followed by “Live In Today” and “Funtastic Hellos” on July 2.
For several years following, Ianuzzi served as an Electronic Creative associate with the legendary Suzanne Ciani and her Electronic Music Boutique for Sound Design and Scoring. He spent time in his early days working with Vangelis and ex-Tangerine Dream member, Peter Baumann, in addition to some work on chart-topping Billboard projects, such as “AEIOU” by Freeze and “Way of Life” by The Puppets. It was then he developed his songwriting skills; he then wrote and recorded two albums with Sluka when he was touring Japan and Europe.
