Nigerian superstar, Yemi Alade, shares a brand new track, “True Love,” off her forthcoming fifth LP.
Alade also recently appeared in Beyonce’s Black Is King performing two songs for The Lion King: The Gift, “Don’t Jealous Me” and “My Power.”
“True Love” follows the uptempo-Afropop single, “Boyz,” whom she collaborated with Vtek.
Alade is an artist, actress, and entertainer of Yoruba and Igbo descent. She has released four albums: 2014’s King of Queens – which featured her hit song, “Johnny,” and launched her to global fame. The track has reached almost over 100 million views on YouTube. 2016’s Mama Africa (The Diary of An African Woman); 2017’s Black Magic; and her latest, 2019’s Woman Of Steel. Her breakthrough single, “Johnny,” made her the first African female artist to earn over 100 million views on Youtube and Vevo and is the most viewed video by an African female artist ever.”
