Neil Young is thrilled to announce the release of his upcoming live album and concert film from his 2003 tour that supported his 25th studio album, Greendale, and brought the album and film to life both musically and theatrically.
To be released on November 6, the songs and performances tackle timely topics including environmentalism, corruption, and the destructive effects of capitalism. The album and film features Young‘s musical partners, Crazy Horse, and captures the essence of Young’s music and small-town rock opera.
Return To Greendale will be released in several formats. The limited-edition deluxe box set includes a Blu-ray of the full concert, two LPs and two CDs, and a DVD of Inside Greendale, a documentary capturing the making of the album. It’ll also be available on double-vinyl, a two-CD set, digitally on Neil Young Archives (NYA) and at all major digital streaming providers. The documentary shows footage of Young and Crazy Horse in the studio, blended with footage from 2003’s Greendale fictional film.
