POINTS is the artist name of the multiplatinum producer and songwriter, Al Sherrod Lambert [Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé]. In celebration of the importance of Juneteenth, POINTS shares a new song, “Free Man.”
Points shared the following: “‘Free Man’ is my proclamation of freedom to the industry and this country overall. It’s an anthem for every black man to be unashamed of his God-given right to be free—free to be himself and free to enjoy life on his own terms without fear! They hate to see that! They hate to see us out of jail…OUT of the grave and happy! This Juneteenth release is important because it’s celebrating the freeing of the last American slaves in the 1800s. Funny enough, I think we are truly becoming free right now in 2020! We’re free from the systematic racism that’s held ya down and back for so long. It’s nowhere near finished, but I feel we are making real progress. We first becoming more aware and more united when we come together we are strong and that’s where we will find our true freedom for ALL OF US! ‘Don’t get shit confused’ BLACK LIVES MATTER and will always MATTER.”
