Every Light

Philadelphian band Modern Suits’ new album, Every Light, is full of meaningful lyrics and big rock production. Each song brings the energy, but intricate musical details signify attention to detail from the band and West Chester producer Fred Mascherino, formerly of Taking Back Sunday.
Lyrics like “What should I do if I can’t keep from thinking of you?” (Waiting), and, “I wish I could find a way out of the night just to see your face,”(Tunnels), convey the turbulence of heartbreak and the stumbling effort to find a way out of a bad place. It’s sincere, it’s relatable, and it’s nicely put together. The album is an enjoyable listen with punchy instrumentation and heartfelt lyrics, and by the end, it makes you really hope that whoever frontman Keith Gibbons is singing to waited up for him.
