Maryland-based Red Skies Mourning announces the release of his new single, “Signs From You,” the latest from the solo project of Chris Aleshire.
The track is the debut release from Red Skies Mourning and features the elements of both classic rock ‘n roll with modern stylings. On “Signs From You,” he infuses both rough and smooth elements. The song delivers a compelling story about “an unsuccessful rescue search” with lyrics delivering constant heart-wrenching guilt over the endless “what if’s.”
His style is “big, boundless” post-grunge, blended with a gritty, yet optimistic life with classic rock riffs. The vocals and harmonies deliver a full sound.
Aleshire explains, “I work as an Engineer for a Major Cloud Software Company. One of my customer’s daughters went missing. They searched for her for 4 days until they found her body; she committed suicide. When I spoke to him about it, he made a blog about seeing signs from her from the day she went missing and continues to see them that she’s okay,” he then adds, “Putting myself in his shoes and also having had close friends commit suicide, people tend to push things off, be more self-absorbed, not seeing or noticing friends in need. So the lyrics directly describe continually both the What Could I Have Done? and also knowing they are in a better place, but yet the guilt will stay with you always. I am a US Marine Corps Veteran, so this is for suicide awareness and PTSD.”
Aleshire is a multi-talented, one-man-band. Hailing from Bowie, Maryland, Aleshire grew up listening to pop, metal, and rock. His passion for the latter of the three shines in his work and is evident throughout his life. Over the years, he has sung in cover bands, doing covers of Queen, Alice In Chains, and U2. He’s also been a member of several hardcore bands, including Carved In Stone, Erase The Past, and Taken By Force.
He is currently working on new material with J.R. Richards (arrangement and backing vocals), Jeff Kanan (producer/mixer), and studio musicians Ryan Elwood (Drums) and Andreas Landeck (Guitar/Bass). With an all-star lineup behind him, he’s ready to release his next EP, Misguided Fate, in 2021.
