Mary Jane’s Closet will be having its second Melting Pot Art Expo this Friday May 30. The white and gold affair will be at Blackeye Soup studios on 6143 Germantown Ave.
“I would consider the last show as a pre-show for this one. It will be way more organized! I would be prepared for the unexpected,” says Jasmine Anderson, owner of the Mary Jane’s Closet consignment shop. “We have a variety of artists. A few that performed at the last show and many more. I’ve been in communication with a couple old friends who and new associates. There will be a plethora of talent that night.”
At the last Melting Pot Art Expo some of the stand out acts of the evening were poets All Day J and Kourtney Naomi along with rapper Drew Mills. The art of LinShuttr and Jamir Linder adorned the walls of the venue adding the visual artistry to the cultural stew.
For those looking to get a taste of some of Philadelphia’s talent, the Melting Pot Art Expo at Blackeye Soup studios this Friday night may be just the thing to wet your palette.
