The new record, Obviously, from Lake Street Dive, is out today via Nonesuch Records.
The band visited ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ last night and performed their single, “Hypotheticals.” Watch the performance here.
The record, Obviously, was produced by the Grammy Award-winning producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Mike Elizondo. Elizondo is best known for his work with Dr. Dre, Eminem, and 50 Cent; while also producing records for Fiona Apple, Mary J. Blige, Carrie Underwood, and Twenty-One Pilots, and many more. The band’s wide-ranging taste in music, such as pop, rock, R&B, and jazz, have been blended together on Obviously to create such a cohesive sound. It “combines retro influences with a contemporary attitude.”
