The Los Angeles-based psychedelic rock band, Starveya, shares their new single, “Let You In.” Starveya is Aaron Martinez (lead vocals/guitar), Desi Martinez (guitar/backing vocals), and Kenny Lockwood (drums). “Let You In” also features Mathew Meseberg on bass, Paul Reagor on synths, and Juan Lopez on the organ.
The band explained, “[Let You In] is sort of an anti-love song, it is loosely about love and relationships. Not so much about a love lost as it is about a love that never was. Or never was what you thought it to be or dreamt it to be.”
Starveya [stahr-vey- uh] noun
• A continuing cycle in which one star carries out its path in the sky only to be replaced by a new star.
• An image originating from a celestial body that no longer exists but can still be seen from a distance of light years.
Starveya is a Los Angeles-based, psychedelic/alternative rock band. The band was founded around the turn of the millennium. Their music can often be described as “a fusion between the classic studio recordings of the late 1960’s, and that of the heavier grunge movement of the early 1990’s.” In 2013, they released their EP, Stellar Womb, and exemplified those elements noted above on the EP. They also released “Moontide” on May 29, 2020, their first new song since 2018’s “OldeCrow.”
Starveya is currently in the studio working on their upcoming full-length album, Abandon All Muses, scheduled for a 2021 release.
