The indie rock/synth rock band, Papertwin, shares the third single from their upcoming record, Family Portraits, due out November 15 on Druyan Records.
“Metal Teeth (Faraway)” is a track decorated with heavy synths and electronics with Decker’s melding well with the brassy instruments. In a way, it’s almost gloomy, but in a hazy, sophisticated kind of way.
The band formed in 2009 by lead vocalist Max Decker who escaped a career as a landscape painter. Following two self-released EP’s and a long hiatus, the trio is band with set to release their debut full-length on Druyan Records.
After re-evaluating their personal lives and some major changes, the band decided to reconvene. Decker had recently had a baby and relocated from New York back to Massachusetts where he grew up. Instrumentalist and producer, Francis Cardinale, had lost his father to a long battle with cancer. Cardinale had re-located to Los Angeles.
