You may have been intrigued by the promise of music outdoors at Beardfest, but maybe you want to stay in the city, and perhaps your tastes lean more towards the electronic and party-oriented. If that is the case, then Splash Fest 2014 might be for you. This festival will feature stadium-sized dance music in the summer heat with pools and water balloons to help you cool off. The lineup is packed, and there will be food, BBQ all day, and vendors selling their wares on-site.
The festival will feature such big name, pop and festival EDM DJs and producers as Autoerotique and Project 46, as well as local acts such as Burnbomb and Syfer, Night Shift, and DJ Mighty Mike Saga. On the side, local companies will be offering everything from clothing (PUSH Philly) and jewelry (Dance Kandy), to music (Vera Records), body painting (Mitchell Poulouin), and more. In addition, especially if you plan on being intoxicated at the event, please use the Uber code SPLASHSAFE, which will get you a $20 discount to get you home safe if you have never used Uber before.
Splash Fest 2014 will take place this Saturday, June 14th, and will run from noon until 10 PM. It will be held outdoors at the Bamboo Bar at 927 North Delaware Avenue, just a few blocks away from That Music Mag headquarters! Buy your tickets in advance here (tickets are limited!), and check out the Facebook event page here for more information. Get ready to rave on, and be safe!
