¡Dos!

Green Day’s new album ¡Dos! starts off with a short, stripped down track, complete with beautiful Simon and Garfunkel-esque harmonies—a surprising start for the punk legends, but nonetheless very satisfying. Unfortunately for fans, track one is where all traces of quality in the new album stops. The next thirty-seven minutes of the new record are riddled with weak lyrics, cheesy progressions, one really lame rap, and a poor attempt at singing like Steven Tyler (you can find that on the track ‘Makeout Party’). ¡Dos! lacks any form of quality melodies, hooks, or creativity. Honestly, it doesn’t sound like Billie Joe was even trying on this one.
