Rising emo/pop artist, glaive, delivers his new single, “eyesore,” from his upcoming brand new EP Cypress Grove, due out on November 20 via Interscope.
“I wrote ‘eyesore’ after a really long day and I just felt like I wanted the world to stop looking at me,” says glaive. “I locked the door to my room and stared at the ceiling for a bit then I wrote the song. I feel like everyone has felt like an eyesore or wanted people to look away at some point in their life. This feeling made me realize that time to yourself is needed in a world where we are almost constantly stimulated, you need to look after the number one bossman, yourself.”
glaive is a 15-year-old vocalist, songwriter, and producer, who began making music at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, somewhere in the mountains of beautiful North Carolina. He released his first song via Soundcloud in April and immediately began dropping tracks like “astrid” this past summer and “pissed” last month.
