It’s the return of the block party and music bash in Northern Liberties. Come out on August 5th to the 2nd Annual Street Festival. It’s a free event from noon until 10pm! This is a day to celebrate with family, friends and the community while enjoying art, culture, food, beer, workshops, kids programs and music. There’s a crazy line up of artists with musical headliner The Low Anthem. Some of the many acts to perform on the four stages set up throughout the event include Bailey Hounds, Angela Sheik, Denison Witmer, Kala Jojo, Sierra Hurt, Ensemble Novo, Uptown Tone, The Outside Eyes, Philly School of Rock, Banned Books, DJ DNA, and many more talented artists.
This is the third year that the Philadelphia Folksong Society has partnered up with the Northern Liberties Neighborhood Association to bring to you the seven-block party. Have fun with the festivities throughout the day between Germantown and Green Streets with an expected crowd of 20,000. The party will go on rain or shine.
Although this is a free event, new this year you can purchase a “Friends of 2nd Street” ticket and get the ultimate VIP experience. The ticket includes meet and greet with headlining artists, a special VIP viewing tent, open bar and food options, and more. All the proceeds go to Philadelphia Folksong Society and Northern Liberties Neighborhood Association.
